About

I find myself always wanting to know more about the women behind the blogs rather than just a little snip bit. So here is my attempt to answer some questions so that you can get to know me better.

1. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in the beautiful Charleston, SC.

2. Why have you started this blog?
I have really fallen in love with blogs over the past couple of years and had a couple of attempts at blogging in the past but just couldn't really keep up with it. Within one year I have gotten married and had my first baby and I need a place for me to have some me time. Since I don't get to get out and do the things I used to as often as I would like, I am using this as my creative outlet to write down my thoughts and inspirations to fashion and style amongst other life experiences.

3. Where did you go to school?
I graduated from the Art Institute of Charleston with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Fashion and Retail Management.

4. Why fashion?
As corny as it sounds, fashion has always been my biggest passion. From watching designers on the runway, to personal styling, to creating dynamic visual displays for retail, there is nothing that I don't absolutely love about the fashion world. I have had the pleasure of working for major retailers like Banana Republic and Nine West as well as working for local fashion events like Charleston Fashion Week. I have worked in almost every aspect of fashion from sales, to management, to merchandising, to marketing and advertising, to event coordination, to personal styling and I love every bit of it. I am also a self proclaimed shopaholic but have turned my shopping addict ways into the most rewarding challenge. It is my life goal when shopping to find high-end quality, trendy style pieces at rock bottom prices because lets face it, we are all on a budget and now with the purchase of our first house and having our daughter, my shopping budget is very limited. Being able to get a variety of pieces each season for the same price that some people would spend on just one or two items is the best feeling! Don't worry, I'll show you how.

5. Are you a good cook?
I'll be honest, I absolutely love food but I hate going to the grocery store which means I hardly cook as much as I would like to (or I should say as much as my husband would like me to). My husband is an amazing cook and he loves to cook. I love going out to local restaurants and trying new things that way. Let's just say if I can find any sort of excuse to not cook, I find it! But I'm hoping to change that now with the help of pinterest and the ever abundant amount of recipes out there. Stay tuned!
